Choose your difficulty level: Ultra-competitive or Lightly-competitive. Both options will include the same randomly-released missions. Which option is right for you?
Ultra-competitive
This option is for the hardcore, strategic competitors who plan to dedicate significant time to the hunt, competing to the final second.
Lightly-competitive
This option is for those participating for fun, choosing the missions that sound the most interesting, and aren’t able to constantly monitor the leaderboard.
Missions begin: Thursday, August 8, 6 pm
Scavenger Hunt party at the Library’s Viridian Event Center: Friday, August 9, 6–7:30 pm
Missions end: Saturday, August 10, 10 pm
- Participants can choose to compete solo or as a pair. Participants must select during registration and list the name of their partner if competing as a pair.
- Those competing in pairs must complete challenges together using one device on one GooseChase account. Only one GooseChase account will be considered per pair for points.
- Participants are welcome and encouraged to group up with other participants while completing challenges. However, points will be counted for each solo/pair registered, even if you group up with others that are registered while playing.
- Participants are only eligible to win prizes in one category. Teams should choose either the Ultra or Lightly-Competitive contest.
- Only those listed on your registration are eligible to win.
- All participants must be 18 or older at the time of the event.
- The scavenger hunt officially begins at 6 pm on Thursday, August 8, 2024 and ends at 10 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Missions will only be available in app during this time.
- The County Library staff will confirm all mission submissions from winners before winners will be announced. If any submissions do not meet requirements, those points will be deducted and leaderboards updated.
- Prize winners will be notified in the GooseChase app and will be contacted via email to collect their prize. If prize is not claimed within 72 hours, it may be offered to the next team. Prize winners will need to sign that they received a prize.
- Participants of the scavenger hunt must abide by all city, county, and state laws and regulations during the hunt. Any violators will be disqualified.
- The County Library staff reserves the right to disqualify or remove any participants from the competition for any reason they deem necessary.
- This is a rain-or-shine event.
